You don’t have to be perfect at everything and this is not for those who want overnight success, but for those of you who are curious and want to improve your own mental stimulation. You should aim to have more than one area of depth. You should want to pick up new skills and explore more than one career. Why?

Because it is good for your mental health.
Because it is good for your self-esteem.
Because we’re leaving 2020 fast propelling into 2021 and the environment is changing so quickly with new technologies and what makes you an expert today does not necessarily hold for the coming future.
Because neither you nor I can predict the future, but we can sure enjoy ourselves as we roll with life’s ups and downs.
Because there is nothing wrong with failure once you learn from it and get back up to go again. Even your favourite celeb has had their share of failure, it’s part of life.

So:
Cultivate new interests by being willing to do something different or new.
Be curious and have a willingness to try and persevere in a new hobby – crocheting, writing, rock climbing, building robotic kits, paint – even if you have no artistic skills, be a hobbyist collector of something you love – perfume, stamps, cards, cooking, pottery; photography; reading; graphic design; learn a new language.
Set realistic goals and follow-through.
After starting one hobby look at cultivating another.
